The Junior Camrose and Peggy Bayer Trophies were held at the Park Avenue Hotel, Belfast on the 21st & 22nd February 2009. The teams were the under 25 and Under 20 teams from England, Northern Ireland, The Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Congratulations to the English teams, who were victorious in both the Junior Camrose and Peggy Bayer Trophies; Northern Ireland were snapping at England’s heels in the Junior Camrose after play on Saturday but fell away on Sunday to finish a very creditable 2nd.
England was the run away victor in the Peggy Bayer, with Scotland (last year’s winners) a clear 2nd. Only a spirited performance by Wales in the very last match denied England a perfect score.
