The 2008 Home International SeriesTeam Profiles : Martin Jones & Neil RosenMartin lives and works in Coventry as a designer for a company manufacturing hydraulic equipment. Martin has won all of the main domestic teams events, and is a current holder of the Schapiro Spring Fours. He was also on the last team to represent Great Britain in the European Championships, in Malta 1999 and more recently was NPC of the English Women’s team that won bronze medal in the Europeans in Warsaw and reached the quarter finals of the Venice Cup in Shanghai. Martin partnered Neil Rosen in the 2007 Camrose series, having previously played with John Collings and Paul Bowyer. Neil is married to Anne; herself an English Ladies International. They have two young children – Nikki aged 10 and Andrew aged 5. They live in North London where Neil owns and manages a full-time bridge club; the Ace of Clubs. Neil has won many of Britain’s leading events including the English Camrose Trials several times as well as the Gold Cup and the Spring Foursomes on more than one occasion. His most recent wins were this year’s prestigious Shapiro Spring Foursomes for the second year running as well as the Lederer Memorial Trophy. He has also won the now defunct Premier League. Martin Jones is Neil’s third different partner for Camrose bridge - having previously played with both Phil King and Peter Crouch. |
