Team Profiles :Ciara Burns and John Murchan

John “The Beast” Murchan is a Financial Controller working in the construction industry. This is his 9th Camrose cap and 6th in partnership with Ciara. His interests outside bridge include developments in Human Rights Law and in particular, the right to freedom from oppression and persecution. This has never extended to his bridge partners,  especially Ciara, the chimp. The great loves of his life are Mookie, his Great Dane and Leeds United.

Ciara Burns is a solicitor, specialising in civil litigation in Belfast. This is her 6th Camrose appearance alongside John. She has also represented Ireland on the Women’s teams in the last 2 European Championships. Her hobbies outside bridge include learning Spanish and her greatest achievement is passing her G.C.S.E Spanish last year.( sad eh?)
